The World Chess Championship match between world champion Alexander Alekhin and challenger Efim Bogolyubov took place from April 1 to June 14, 1934 in various cities of Germany .
The rules of the match were the same as in the previous match of the same rivals: playing for most of the 30 games, with the winner winning at least 6, with a score of 15:15 the champion retains the title.
Again, as in 1929 , Alekhine won (this time with a score of +8 −3 = 15) and defended his title.
