Dodao ( Chinese р 刀 п , pinyin : Duōdāo ) is a district of the city subordination of the Jingmen urban district of Hubei Province ( PRC ). The name of the area is associated with the actions of Kuan Yu , committed by him in these places during the era of the Three Kingdoms.

History
In 1979, the city of Jingmen was isolated from Jingmen County, Jingzhou County. In 1983, by the decision of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, the city of Jingmen was removed from the Jingzhou District and directly subordinated to the authorities of Hubei Province; Jingmen County was disbanded, and its territory was annexed to Jingmen City. In 1985, Jingmen City was divided into Dongbao and Shayang districts.
In 1992, the Dodao Techno-Economic Development Zone was formed in the Dongbao area. In 2001, on the basis of the zone of technical and economic development, a separate district of urban subordination was created.
