Valery Maslov was the only athlete in the USSR who brought to the field the USSR national hockey and football teams with a captain's armband on his sleeve.
Ball Hockey
He played hockey with the ball for Trud ( Kaliningrad ) - 1959-1961, Dynamo ( Moscow ) - 1961-1979.
- Ten-time champion of the USSR (1963, 1964, 1965, 1967, 1970, 1972, 1973, 1975, 1976, 1978).
- Five-time silver medalist (1966, 1968, 1971, 1974, 1977).
- Bronze medalist (1962).
- Three-time winner of the European Champions Cup (1976, 1977, 1979).
- Eight-time world champion (1961, 1963, 1965, 1967, 1971, 1973, 1975, 1977).
- Recognized as the best forward of the World Cup (1973).
- He was awarded the Commemorative Medal of the International Ice Hockey Federation "For Outstanding Merits in the Development of Hockey with the Ball" (1976).
