Omorkanov Aivaz Anvarbekovich (born June 2, 1996 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan) - Kyrgyz triathlete, champion of Kyrgyzstan in triathlon, master of sports of Kyrgyzstan in triathlon, candidate for master of sports in cycling. The only Kyrgyz to date to qualify for the Ironman World Championship.

Career
He began his sports career in 2018 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Having no professional sporting past, after 1.5 months of training, he spoke among amateurs at the 2018 ITU World Triathlon Abu Dhabi and took third place in the age group 18-24 [1] . After the bronze medal, he decided not to stop there, performed at the local republican cycling competition, cutting “25 km” and managed to earn the title of candidate for master of sports in cycling, having fulfilled this time limit. Further, he takes part in the Kyrgyz Triathlon Championship and becomes the absolute champion of Kyrgyzstan. Also, in 2018, it competes in two Ironman 70.3 races in Astana and in Turkey, where it takes 4th place and 7th place in its age categories.
2019 begins with the Ironman 70.3 race in Greece, where it again takes 4th place in its age category, losing only 2-3 minutes to its closest competitor. The next start he again chooses Ironman 70.3 Astana, where he successfully wins the gold of his age category 18-24 and sets a new absolute record for Kyrgyzstan at a half-iron distance with a time of 4 hours 19 minutes and 1 second. After a successful performance in Astana, takes part in Ironman 70.3 Xi'an. Unfortunately, due to bad weather conditions and water quality, the water phase was forced to be canceled and started right away with a bicycle. Ayvaz Omorkanov successfully performs and once again wins the gold of his age category 18-24 and the bronze of the absolute standings, along with this he wins a ticket to the Ironman World Championship Kona 2020, thereby becoming the first triathlete in the history of Kyrgyzstan to take part in the World Championship in iron the distance.
