Shuytsy ( wh. Ex . 水族 , pinyin : Shuǐ Zú , also sui, aysui (self-name), the old names are Shujia, shuymyao) - Kam-Sui people in China , living mainly in Guizhou province ( San-dy Shu AU , county Either), as well as small groups in the Guangxi-Zhuang Autonomous Republic (mainly in the Nandan district, over 10 thousand) and in the north-east of Yunnan . According to the 2000 census, the number is 406 902 people. Also, about 120 people live in Vietnam (according to SIL International ). Included in the 56 official ethnic groups of China .
They speak the Shui language of the Kam-Sui group of the Tai-Kadai family . About half speak Chinese as the second, written Chinese is also common.
By religion, the Schuyans are Taoists , or they retain traditional beliefs.
The main occupation is farming .

Alphabet
Before, the Schuyans used a special pictographic letter. This letter is currently obsolete.
The Shuya alphabet was developed in 1956-1957, but was not introduced. In 1986, a new version of the Shuysky alphabet was developed in the Siandu-Shuy Autonomous Region ( Qiannan-Bui-Miai Autonomous Region , Guizhou ). It has been released several books. He is also optionally taught in schools [1] .
