Album release

On September 12, 2019, Ghost released a video for the song “Kiss The Go-Goat”, in which Papa Nihil acts as the frontman for Ghost at the Whiskey A Go Go club in West Hollywood, California , in 1969 ^[4] ^[5] . The next day, September 13th, Seven Inches of Satanic Panic were released on Loma Vista Recordings music streaming services ^[6] . In social networks, the group announced ^[7] ^[8] :

"We want to inform you that Ghost released two special tracks from the 1969 archives ..." Seven Inches of Satanic Panic "is already available for listening and buying."

Seven Inches of Satanic Panic , which was described as an EP with two tracks ^[5] and as a single ^[9] , was released on seven-inch vinyl (with Kiss the Go-Goat and Mary on a Cross on sides A and B, respectively) ^[6] September 27, 2019.

Music Style

According to Spencer Kaufman, a columnist for Consequence of Sound , Mary on a Cross is designed in the style of psychedelic rock of the 60s , which corresponds to the “backstory” voiced before the publication of two new songs. According to the group, the disc was originally released in 1969 during the first incarnation of Ghost , and this release is only an anniversary reissue ^[1] .
