Shipot ( Ukrainian Shipіt ) is a waterfall in the Mezhgorsky district of the Transcarpathian region , about 10 km from the Volovets railway station and 6 km from the village of Pylypets . The ski lift is located 300 meters from the Shipot waterfall and serves as an excellent landmark. The waterfall was formed at the site of the exit of the sandstones of the Paleogene and gravelites with thin layers of schists.

Every year, starting in 1993, an informal festival is held near the waterfall, which is attended by hippies and representatives of other subcultures from all over Ukraine.
Every year from July 7 to 10, the feast of Ivan Kupala is celebrated with local traditions and flavor. Events on Shipot were described in the book “A Little Darkness” by the Ukrainian writer Lyubko Deresh .
Tourism
Waterfall is a famous tourist destination. Special bus excursions from sanatoriums and boarding houses of Transcarpathia and Carpathian are organized here. At present, Shipot is being commercialized, restaurants and eateries are under construction. It is planned to build a ski lift in the area of the waterfall.
