Mikhailovka (Yakutia)

Mikhailovka ( Yakut. Somorsun [2] ) is a village in the Amginsky ulus of Yakutia of Russia. The administrative center and the only settlement of the Somorsunsky settlement. Most residents are Yakuts . The population of 832 [1] people. (2018).

Geography

The village is located in the south-east of Central Yakutia, along the banks of the Amga River. To the northeast is Lake Usun-Kyuyol .

The distance to the ulus center - Amga village is 59 km. [3]

The street network consists of nine geographical objects : st. I.P. Borisova, st. Konstantinova, st. Kurashova, st. Longinova, st. M.I. Kutukova, st. New, st. Pestereva, st. Victory st. Poiseeva.

History

According to the Law of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) dated November 30, 2004 N 173-З N 353-III [4], the village was headed by the formed municipal formation Somorsunsky settlement.

Gender composition

According to the 2010 All-Russian Population Census, in the gender structure of the population of 859 people there are 442 men and 417 women (51.5 and 48.5%, respectively) [6] .

National composition

According to the 2002 census , in the national structure of the population, the Yakuts accounted for 98% of the total population of 878 people. [13] .
