Tuana Amin (born 1981 in Suleimaniya) is a Kurdish poet, novelist, humanist, literary translator and journalist. In 2003, he worked as an editor in the journal Text, which is published by the Ministry of Culture, from 2005 to 2007 he served as general director of the program on radio NAWA, and in early 2007 he was director of the weekly cultural magazine PAIK. In 2007, 2011, 2012 and 2015, he received the award for the best stories of the festival GALAWEZH, which is one of the largest Kurdish literature festivals. In 2000, Tuan Amin was awarded by the Ministry of Culture for the best stories in Sulaymaniyah. In 2011 he was awarded by the Ministry of Culture "Best Young Novelist" in Erbil. Since 1999, the writer published his studies, articles and stories in magazines, newspapers, literary and artistic sites in Persian and Kurdish. Tuana Amin is the author of 20 books. He is currently one of the leaders of the International Union of Journalists and the managing director of the critical journal (Concept).
