Biography
Nogayets . Graduate of the Dagestan Agricultural College. He worked on the collective farm as a livestock specialist. Since October 1941, he participated in the battles of the Great Patriotic War.
On August 27, 1944, as part of a group of scouts, Asanov crossed the Vistula River north of Pulaw and captured two soldiers who provided valuable information. October 15, 1944 for this feat he was awarded the Order of Glory 3rd degree.
November 4, 1944, commanding the intelligence department, Asanov again crossed the Vistula, and, throwing grenades at the German trench, captured it. During the defense of the captured position he was wounded, but did not leave the battlefield and covered the compartment with fire. On April 24, 1945, for courage and heroism, he was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.
On April 23, 1945, the commander of the mortar crew, Asanov, during the battles in the Oranienburg region near Berlin, destroyed the enemy鈥檚 car and disabled about 15 German machine gunners. During the battles near Kotsen, he participated in repelling two counterattacks by the Nazis, destroyed more than 10 machine gunners, and carried a wounded comrade from the battlefield. On July 17 of the same year he was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree (repeatedly).
In 1946, he was discharged and returned to Dagestan. In 1955 he joined the Communist Party.
On February 17, 1970, for the exemplary fulfillment of command assignments in battles with Nazi invaders, by decree of the Presidium of the USSR Supreme Soviet, he was re-awarded with the Order of Glory of the 1st degree and, thus, became the full holder of the order.
He died on January 14, 1974.
One of the streets of the village of Terekli-Mekteb of the Nogai district of Dagestan bears his name.
