Selected Publications
- Love Bites , Gay Men's Press, London, 1991. “Perhaps the first published photographic monograph on lesbian sexuality in the world, made from the perspective of an insider. In the early 90s, Love Bites generated a lot of controversy and was censored, including in LGBT media. In the United States, it was banned for two weeks. In Canada, the most “offensive” photographs were cut out of a book before it was sold. It was sold in England, but not in LGBT bookstores, because the LGBT community feared such content. Although the book has not been published for more than 10 years, it is considered a classic of queer art ” [13] [14] [15] .

- Sublime Mutations , Konkursbuchverlag, 2000. “Sublime mutations, a photographic retrospective of the work of Volcano Del La Grace, created over the past ten years, visually transform the political and theoretical cutting-edge avant-garde” [19] . However, it is important to note that we also see the changes promised by our observation, the mutations we read, as well as the changes that occur with our bodies. Volcano skillfully demonstrates that elevated mutations are already transformations that viewers project onto the physical world, and especially onto the body ” [20] [21] [22] .
