Development
In 2018, the scriptwriter and director of a series of films about the killer doll, Don Mancini, in an interview with Bloody Disgusting portal, said that he is working with the franchise producer David Kerschner on a series that will be a continuation of films about Chucky [1] . On June 22, Mancini tweeted a teaser poster for the series [2] [3] [4] .
January 29, 2019 it became known that the series will be released on the Syfy channel, and the team of creators came Nick Antoska , who has already completed work on his TV series “ Zero Channel ” for the same channel, as well as producer David Kirshner [5] .
On February 12, Nick Antoska said that the series, currently known as “ Chucky ”, will be closer in atmosphere to the first two films of the series , that is, it belongs to the horror genre. In addition, he announced the possible involvement of Jennifer Tilly , Fiona Durif and Brad Durif [6] .
On April 27, Don Mancini confirmed that the series will premiere in 2020 [7] .
