Sergey Mikhailovich Makarenko ( Ukrainian Sergiy Mikhailovich Makarenko ; born January 16, 1961, Makeevka, Donetsk Region, Ukrainian SSR ) - Ukrainian statesman, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the first convocation (1990-1994).

Biography
Born on January 16, 1961 in Makeevka in a working class family.
In 1981 he graduated from Makeevka Civil Engineering Institute . Since 1981, he was a student of the installer of the Pochenkov mine (Makeevka).
From 1981 to 1983, he served in the Soviet Army , after returning from the army from 1983 to 1988, he was an apprentice tuner, tuner, secretary of the LKSMU organization of the mine named after the XXV Congress of the CPSU of the Makeevugol Production Association, Donetsk Region .
Member of the CPSU from 1986 to 1991.
From 1988 to 1990, he was chairman of the Guardsman Youth Housing and Construction Unit, then a bricklayer at the Chaykino mine construction and production association, Makeevugol Production Association.
Since 1990, he worked as a mine digger at the XXV Congress of the CPSU PO Makeevugol.
He was a member of the CPSU until June 1990.
In 1990, during the first alternative parliamentary elections in the Ukrainian SSR, he was nominated as a candidate for People’s Deputies by the Plenum of the Chervonogvardeisky District Committee of the Komsomol of Makeevka, on March 18, 1990 in the second round he was elected People’s Deputy of the Supreme Council of the Ukrainian SSR of the XII convocation (hereinafter - the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine I convocation ) from Makeevsky-Chevonogvardeisky constituency number 134 of Donetsk region, got 48.57% of the vote. In Parliament, he was the Secretary of the Commission on the activities of the Councils of People's Deputies, the development of local self-government. The deputy powers expired on May 10, 1994.
In the 1994 parliamentary elections, he was a candidate for People’s Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 2nd convocation , took 3rd place among 9 candidates, receiving 10.28% of the vote, was not elected.
From 1994 to 1995, he was the chief consultant of the Territorial Administration of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine ; from 1995, he was chairman of the Department of Relations with Local Councils of the Executive Directorate of the Association of Ukrainian Cities.
