History
Historically, there was a ferry across the Huaihe River in these places. After coal mining began in Datong and Jiulungan, coal began to be loaded onto ships, and a river port was formed. When the railroad also passed here, a coal transshipment hub was formed.
After the communists controlled these places during the civil war , in November 1949 the city of Tianjian (田家庵 市) was formed. In September 1950, he was demoted to a village. In May 1953, this village was transformed into an area of urban subordination.
