Avliar [1] ( Turkish : Avliyar ) is a mountain in Turkey , in Kars silt, west of the village of , northwest of Aladjadag mountain (2695 m), east of the city of Kars . Altitude 2214 meters above sea level [1] .

In 1877, after the battle of Zivin, the Turkish army of Mukhtar Pasha occupied Aladjadag and Avliar [2] . On October 3 [15], 1877, during the Battle of Avliyar-Aladzhin, part of the Russian troops under the command of Vasily Geyman took Turkish positions on Mount Avliar [3] . The shelling of Mount Avliar was commanded by Fyodor Gubsky [4] .
