We Will Fall - the composition of the proto-punk band The Stooges , which entered the third track on their self-titled debut album (the composition closes the first side of the record). She is one of the most peculiar songs recorded by The Stooges .

“We Will Fall” was written by Iggy Pop under the impression of the evening he spent at the Chelsea Hotel waiting for his girlfriend Niko ^[1] .

Unlike other songs of the album - energetic, built on guitar riffs and driving rhythm sections, “We Will Fall” is a 10-minute long mantra song, which goes mostly not to the accompaniment of musical instruments, but to the Indian mantra repeated every ten minutes. She may have been inspired by the songs of The Doors (for example, “My Wild Love”) and the long atonal compositions of The Velvet Underground (especially Sister Ray ).
