Kalibek Rakymbekuly (1908, Mount Jaiyr, XUAR , China - 11/16/1985, Salikhli , Turkey ) - one of the leaders of the national liberation movement of the Kazakhs in East Turkestan .

In 1933, he participated in the organization of a secret Kazakh organization, for which he was fined 1 million yuan and sentenced to 18 years in prison. In 1940-1946 he arrived in the Manas Aimak , where he called on the Kazakhs to revolt. He organized several military attacks on the Chinese army, liberated the Sauan region , where in 1946 he was elected head of the region. The Government of the East Turkestan Republic awarded him the title of "Khalyk kaharmany." In 1947 he migrated to the foothills of Erenkabyrga . Created a detachment of 600 people. After negotiations with the government, Chiang Kai-shek organized 8 Kazakh military regiments. Unable to withstand the pressure of the troops of East Turkestan, he was forced to retreat to the Nanshan mountains. Here he established contacts with the Uighurs, Dungan generals, the US Consul in Urumqi, Pakistan. On February 1, 1951, after a surprise attack by the Chinese Communist troops, Kalibek, along with 200 families, crossed the Taklamakan desert, the mountains of Tibet and the Himalayas, and arrived in Kashmir at the end of 1952. Through the US Embassy in India, he received UN permission to relocate to Turkey . July 29, 1954 124 people remaining from 200 families. led by Kalibek arrived in Turkey.
