She lives in Rio de Janeiro. Her works are stored in galleries and private collections in the USA, China, Brazil and Europe.

Biography
Parents of Anna Bella Geiger grew up in the city of Ostrovets-ентwiętokrzyski ( Poland ). They moved to Brazil ten years before her birth. Her father was a craftsman [3] .
Geiger first studied literature and linguistics at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro , and then in the 1950s she studied art at the Faigi Ostrovier Institute in Rio de Janeiro. In 1954, Geiger moved to New York, where she took art history lessons at the Metropolitan Museum of Art , and the following year returned to Rio de Janeiro. In 1965, Geiger began attending an engraving workshop at the Museum of Modern Art in Mexico City , where she began teaching three years later. In 1969, she again arrived in New York in 1969 to teach at Columbia University , and in 1970 returned to Rio de Janeiro [4] .
In the 1970s, Geiger, working in the direction of abstract art, began to include representative elements in her works and use photographic engraving, photo montage , assembling , sculpture and video. In the 1980s, she focused on painting, and in the early 1990s, on cartographic images cast in metal and iron structures of archival boxes, including metal weaving and hot wax painting ( encaustic [2] [5] ). Later, she also engaged in the art of installing with video. In 2006, in Rio de Janeiro, Geiger created the Circe installation, which included a large-scale model of ancient Egyptian ruins and a video recording of the performance. This installation was recreated in 2009 [6] .
In 1983, Geiger became a member of the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Fund [7] .

Geiger’s works are in the collections of the New York Museum of Modern Art [8] , the Victoria and Albert Museum (London) [9] , the Georges Pompidou Center (Paris), the Harvard Museum of Art ( Cambridge , USA), the Getty Foundation (Los Angeles), The Serralves Museum (Porto), the Frankfurt am Main Museum of Art [10] , the Reina Sofia Art Center ( Madrid ), the Museum of Modern Art ( Chicago ) and the National Museum of Women's Art (Washington) [5] . Exhibitions of her works were held in London, Tokyo, Warsaw , Ottawa , Portugal and Puerto Rico .
1978 Geiger's “Our Daily Bread” ( port. A Pao Nosso de Cada Dia ), a photographic postcard presented in five copies, is now stored at the Blanton Museum in Austin (Texas) [11] , the Tepper Takayama Museum of Fine Arts in Boston ( Massachusetts) [12] and Fogg’s Harvard Museum [13] [14] . Her engravings are also in collections at the National Museum of Fine Arts in Rio de Janeiro and the Museum of Modern Art in Niterói [15] .
