Content
Biography
He was born in a large Tatar peasant family in 1901 . The family had three girls and six boys. He studied for four years at the elementary school of Zemstvo. After graduating with honors, he went to study at a madrasah in Ufa.
He studied at the Hakimiya madrasah . He graduated in 1927 from the Moscow Agricultural Academy. K.A. Timiryazev .
In 1927 - 1927 he worked in the Bashkir People's Commissariat of Agriculture; in 1932 - 1955 - at the Chishminsky selection station.
In 1956 - 1958 - Deputy Director for Research at the Bashkir Research Institute of Agriculture.
Since 1958, head of the laboratory of selection and primary seed production of winter crops of the Bashkir Research Institute of Agriculture and selection of field crops.
Kunakbaev S. A. created in the Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic a scientific school of breeders.
He died on July 3, 1996 in Ufa.

Short-stemmed unbroken winter rye "Chulpan"; creating buckwheat varieties “Chishminskaya” and “Demskaya”, winter wheat “Lutescens-9” and winter triticale “Bashkir-1”, a total of 19 varieties.
Memory
The Academy of Sciences of Belarus established a prize in his name.
In 2010, in the Bashkir Scientific Research Institute of Agriculture, the rye variety “In Memory of Kunakbaev” was introduced [1] .
