Valya Styblova ( Czech Valja Stýblová ) (born June 4, 1922 , Harbin , China ) is a Czech writer , professor and doctor of medicine, doctor of sciences (the highest academic title in the Czech Republic) and a former female politician.

Life
Born in the family of a legionnaire , she soon moved to Prague , where she graduated from high school. She studied medicine, in 1965 became an assistant professor, and in 1977 - a professor of neurology . In 1974, she worked as the head of the neurological clinic of the Vinohrady Hospital in Prague.
Also in 1981 - 1990 was a parliamentarian of the Czechoslovak Federal Assembly .
