Yıldız Moran ( tour: Yıldız Moran , July 24, 1932, Istanbul - April 15, 1995, Istanbul ) is a Turkish photographer and translator . The first Turkish photographer who received a professional education in the field of photography.

Biography
Born July 24, 1932 in Istanbul, was the youngest of three children. She studied at Robert College , but in 1950 interrupted her studies so that, on the advice of her uncle, Mazhar Ipshiroglu, he went to the UK to receive a degree in photography. There she studied at the technical colleges of Bloomsbury and Ealing . Then she worked as an assistant to John Vickers [1] .
In 1953, the first exhibition of Moran works was held in Cambridge. The following year, five more exhibitions were held in London. Moran's works became popular, at the very first exhibition 25 of her works were sold. In 1954 she returned to Turkey. In 1955-62, five more personal exhibitions of Moran's work took place. In 1970, the last non-retrospective exhibition of Moran's works took place. After that, she was engaged only in translations and compiling dictionaries [1] .
Personal life
In 1963, she married the poet Ozdemir Asaf . They had three children. Moran translated a number of Asaph's works into English [1] .
