Gluconacetobacter diazotrophicus

Gluconacetobacter diazotrophicus (lat.) Is a species of bacteria of the Acetobacteraceae family, which was isolated from tissues of the roots and stems of sugarcane . [1] It is believed that this bacterium is responsible for the fixation of atmospheric nitrogen , which is observed in sugarcane y. The bacterium was also isolated from other sucrose- rich plants, such as sweet potatoes (Ipomoea batatas) and elephant grass ( Pennisetum purpureum ), vegetatively propagated, as well as on various insects living on these plants.
