His father, presumably, was a Roman jurist and consul-suffice 39 BC. e. Publius Alfen Var , and his son, again, presumably, the prefect of Pretoria under the emperor Vitellius Alfen Var . In the 2nd year, he held the post of ordinary consul along with Publius Vinicius . Nothing more is known about him.
