The Putilovskiy Zavod Society is a joint-stock company uniting six metallurgical enterprises of the Russian Empire . It existed from 1873 to 1917.

History

In 1801, the St. Petersburg Foundry was founded. He carried out army orders for the production of cannonballs. In 1824, a flood occurred, and almost the entire enterprise was destroyed [1] .

In 1912, the Putilov shipyard was founded - a shipbuilding company that broke away from the Putilov factory. According to the creators, Putilovsky plant provided the shipyard with electricity, raw materials, and supplied components [2] .
