Career

Born on August 24, 1987 in the city of Cuiaba (state of Mato Grosso ). In 2011 and 2013, he became the bronze medalist of the Summer Universiades in Shenzhen and Kazan in the absolute weight category. Four times he climbed the podium of the Pan American Judo Championships: he became the bronze ( Guayaquil , 2014) and silver (2016 and 2019) winner of the championships, and the winner of this championship (2015, Edmonton ). In 2015, he won the Pan American Games in Toronto , and in 2019 he won the bronze medal in Lima . In 2017, he won the silver medal at the World Championships in Budapest , losing to Teddy Riner in the final.
