Aggol ( azerb. Ağgöl ; from the mid 60's to 1991 - the village named after Vladimir Ilyich Lenin) - a village in the Aggol administrative-territorial district of the Akstafa region of Azerbaijan .

Etymology
The name comes from the words “ag” (from Azeri - “white”) and “gel” (from Azeri - “lake”). Probably, the name comes from Lake Dzhandari, on the banks of which the village is located.
History
The village was founded in the early 1950s as a village at the livestock farm.
According to the administrative division of 1961, the village at the Akstafa sheep farm was part of the Muganli village council of the Kazakh region of the Azerbaijan SSR [1] , and by 1977 the village named after V. I. Lenin was part of the Sadikhlinsky village council of the same region [2] .
April 24, 1990 the village was transferred to the newly formed Akstafa district.
In 1991-2004, the settlement was not registered. On May 21, 2004, the actual settlement in the Boyuk-Käsik administrative-territorial district was given the status of a village and the name Aghöl was given. By the same decree, the village of Aggol received its municipality and administrative-territorial district.
Geography
Aggol is located on the shores of Lake Jandari.
The village is 49 km from the regional center of Akstaf and 495 km from Baku . The nearest train station is Boyuk-Käsik.
Near the village is the Beyuk-Kiasik ridge (the highest point is 333.7 m). The village is located at an altitude of 300 meters above sea level.
Population
The population is mainly engaged in subsidiary farming.
Infrastructure
In Soviet times, the livestock department of the Akstafa livestock state farm named after V.I. Lenin was located in the village.
The village has a primary school and a club [3] .
