Haegemonia: Legions of Iron

All actions in Hegemonia: Legions of Iron take place in outer space. Based on the colonized planets, the player creates a space fleet that can be used to expand their space empire. The campaign mode gradually reveals the possibilities inherent in the game: the construction of the space fleet and its use in combat, colonization and capture of planets, research, espionage, etc. Initially, actions take place within the solar system, but then it becomes possible to travel between systems. There are heroes in the game who can give various bonuses (increased accuracy of shooting, accelerated population growth, etc.). The player himself decides where to assign heroes - on the planets, ships or bases.

All ships are divided into three classes: combat, spy and special. The number of ships in each class is strictly limited, so it is often necessary to keep a balance between the ships in each group.

Due to the success of the game, Digital Reality released an official addition called “The Solon Heritage” ( Russ. Solon Heritage), which adds some innovations that are not present in the game, as well as correcting some game problems. For example, the “Skirmish” mode was added, programs for modifications, and the “problem of large spaces” is missing. But the addition was not very successful due to the lack of a new campaign. Due to contract issues (Wanadoo was sold) the supplement was not released in the US.

In Russia, the addition was released all the same 1C and Nival Interactive. Addition is an independent game, so it does not make any corrections to the original (even if the original has been installed by the user earlier).
