Biography
Born in 1904 in the village of Kormovoye, now the Repairno district of the Rostov region.
One of the first to join the ranks of collective farmers, he worked on a collective farm before the start of World War II.
Member of World War II.
After the war, he moved to the neighboring state farm No. 16 of the Remontnensky district. He began to work as a cattleman. Took a hundred bulls for cultivation. The farm was located in the privet beam.
According to the results of 1948, he received a daily gain of an average of 1.062 kilograms from 137 cattle. These were record numbers.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of October 22, 1949, Ivan Petrovich Kharchenko was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor for the successes achieved in the development of animal husbandry with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Hammer and Sickle medal.
He continued to work at the state farm. In the 1960s he went on a well-deserved rest.
He lived in the village of Denisovsky. He died on May 6, 1979.
