Arnuvandas fought against a coalition of states, including Akhkhiyava , Artsav and others. Thus, Maduvattas , until then one of the most faithful vassals of the Hittite king, spoke with the Akhkhiyav king Attarissiyas (that is, Atreus ). The allies captured the entire south-west of Asia Minor and even invaded Alasia ( island of Cyprus ). To the protest of the Hittite king, Maduvattas replied that he allegedly did not know that Alasia was a Hittite territory.
All these events were set out in a large cuneiform tablet called “Crimes of Maduvattas”.
