Biography
Born October 15, 1953 in the city of Vasilkov, Kiev region .
He graduated from the Poltava Higher Anti-Aircraft Missile Command School in 1975. From 1975 to 1982 he served in the Turkestan military district , from 1987 to 1989 - in the Moscow military district , from 1989 to 1992 he worked in the Poltava anti-aircraft missile command school. Since October 1992, he was authorized by the Committee on Social Protection of Military Personnel under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in the Poltava Region , was the head of the department for protecting the rights of military personnel and members of their families of the Secretariat of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Since October 1991 he was a member of the Union of Officers of Ukraine, since March 1992 - the head of the JMA in the Poltava region. Later, at the 5th Congress, he was elected deputy head of the JMA, from 1994 to 1998 he headed the Union of Officers of Ukraine, then he was the first deputy head of the JMA.
In the 1994 parliamentary elections, he was elected People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the second convocation from the Kiev constituency No. 317 of the Poltava region. In parliament, he was a member of the Committee on Defense and State Security, was a member of the Reforms deputy group.
In the 1998 parliamentary elections, he was a candidate for People’s Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the III convocation in the electoral district No. 144 of the Poltava region. Having received 5.9% of the vote, he took 5th place among 27 candidates, was not elected. Later, he was the chief consultant of the department for the protection of the rights of military personnel, veterans and disabled people of the Secretariat of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
In the 2002 parliamentary elections, he was a candidate for People’s Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the IV convocation in the electoral district No. 144 of the Poltava region. Having received 5.9% of the vote, he took 5th place among 27 candidates, was not elected. Since April 2002, he was the deputy of the Ukrainian Republican Party Cathedral.
In the 2004 presidential election, he was a confidant of Viktor Yushchenko in constituency No. 95.
From March 2005 to December 2006 he was the head of the Vasilkovsky District State Administration. Since April 2005, he headed the Union of Officers of Ukraine, later became its honorary head.
Married, wife Lyudmila Vasilyevna - economist, two children - Natalya and Alexander.
