Apocrine sweat glands are glands located in the axillary and anogenital areas around the navel and nipples. Their secretory glomerulus is located in the dermis, a short excretory duct opens into the upper part of the hair follicle. Apocrine sweat glands continuously, depending on the level of androgens, secrete small amounts of oily-viscous fluid, which plays a role in the chemical processes of skin communication. The mammary glands are similar in origin to the apocrine glands. [one]
