Final
The main competitions in the women's pole vault took place on March 3, 2019 [2] . Before the start of the tournament, Angelika Sidorova had a 10 cm advantage over the closest rival for the best result of the season. The European Championship has confirmed this alignment of forces. The Russian woman, speaking in neutral status, made four successful jumps, stopping at 4.85 m. This result allowed her to win the European Indoor Championships for the second time in her career (this first happened in 2015 ). Three attempts to break a personal record (and a competition record) at an altitude of 4.92 m were unsuccessful.
7 out of 8 participants approached the 4.75 m line immediately, but in addition to Sidorova, only the British Holly Bradshaw was able to conquer him - she became the silver medalist. The best among the other athletes was Nicoleta Kyriakopoulou , who won bronze with a score of 4.65 m [3] .
