The monastery was founded in 1909. October 10, 1909 he was consecrated by the Bishop of Bessarabia and Izmail Peter . In 1910, Bishop Peter accepted the schema and lived here alone until 1913. During this time, 35 nuns and novices settled in the monastery. The monastery lived through donations and the cultivation of 2.5 acres of land allocated by the rural community [1] [2] .

After Vladyka Peter, Fr. Neil and then Fr. Tavrion (Morgunov), who died in 1933. In 1944, 8 nuns and 16 novices lived in the monastery, the rector of the monastery was the priest Tavrion (Smetanin) [1] . In 1948, the monastery was closed by the Soviet government [2] . In 1952-1954, the monastery buildings were destroyed. Church utensils were transferred to the Muravlevsky Intercession Church, and household equipment - to the MTS [1] .

On July 12, 2008, a memorial cross was erected on the site of the altar of the former monastery church [1] .
