The central park ( rum. Parcul central ) is located in the central historical part of the city of Balti between Independense, March 26 and M. Vityazul streets with an occupied area of 86,157 m² with an external perimeter of 1283.38 meters.

Named conditionally Kotovsky and later Central Park [2] in Soviet times, it was recognized without mentioning the name of the Soviet era as Central Park as an architectural monument and is included under number 39 in the section of Balti [1] in the list of monuments protected by the state in Moldova. The construction of any objects on its territory should not be contemplated in accordance with the general plan and the attached Balti 2005 regulations. [3]
