Anomalohalacarus (lat.) Is a genus of marine thrombidiform ticks of the Halacaridae family from the superorder Acariformes .

Description
Microscopic marine ticks . Body length from 200 microns to 520 microns. The idiosome and paws are narrow. The first two pairs of legs are distant from the rear two pairs. The gnatosome is longer than its width. Rostrum narrow. Of the four pairs of legs, two front legs are forward, and two are back. Relatively short legs have six segments. The body is weakly sclerotized. Dorsum with 5 or 6 pairs of setae. Psammobiont, inhabits interstitial sand deposits. Most of the finds are made from the littoral and sublittoral. North Atlantic, Mediterranean Sea, Black Sea, Indian and Pacific Ocean [1] .
