Since 2014 , a heading in the program “Morning with Inter” was published on Inter TV channel, in which journalists talked about the fate of the Great Patriotic War veterans. In the same year, the creative team of the channel began work on the first volume of a book-photo album, which describes the real stories of eyewitnesses, those who went through the Second World War [4] . Anton Nikitin was the chief editor of all the books of the project [5] .

The books have a simple structure: a photograph of a veteran on one page, his personal history - the pre-war, military and post-war life path - on another. Photographs taken specifically for the book are a brief history of the difficult fate of a unique person who went through the war [7] .
