History
The history of the criminal investigation in Russia begins with the establishment of the Detective Order in 1619 even under the Russian Empire . It lasted until 1722 and the formation of the Russian Empire . In the same year, the department was transformed into a search expedition . For the entire time of its existence, it changed its name somewhat until in 1886 it was converted into the Detective Unit at the Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Empire . In this form, it existed until the October Revolution of 1917 and was abolished, and instead of it, on October 5, 1918 [1] , Centrorozysk was formed. Then he was briefly replaced by the Central Administrative Office and, in December 1927, a criminal investigation was re-formed.
