Content
History
BC Neftekhimik was established on September 3, 1999 [1] under the name Tobol Basket on the initiative of Vladimir Aksarin and Alexander Permitin. The first part of the team consisted mainly of students and graduates of the coach of the Youth School V.V. Aksarina and several young players invited from Omsk. In the first season, the new team achieved certain results: they won the Urals Cup and took 2nd place in the Ural division of the first league. The team won the Urals Cup next season. After the 2003/2004 season, the team was allowed to participate in the Major League Championship of Russia [2] . Before the 2009/2010 season, the club became known as Neftekhimik. The official sponsor was Sibur.
