Kamenka is a village in the Polessky district of the Kaliningrad region . Until 2017, it was part of the Turgenevsky rural settlement .

Geography
The village of Kamenka is located in the north-west of the Kaliningrad region, made up of two outbreaks of development, larger and smaller in size, the second being 2.4 km north-east of the first, located on the left bank of the small river named after Mordovka [2] . The largest part of the village is located 7.7 km to the west, the smaller - 6.8 km to the north-west in a straight line from the district center, the city of Polessk .
History
The settlement belongs to the historical region of ancient Prussia named Sambia .
Following the results of the Second World War, the settlement of Steinau ( German: Steinau ) was transferred to the USSR, together with the northern part of East Prussia . In 1946, it was renamed the village of Kamenka [3] .
