Geography
The village is located in the southwestern part of the Samara region, in the forest-steppe zone [2] , within the floodplain terraces of the left bank of the Volga , on the southern shore of Lake Lipovoy, at a distance of about 26 kilometers (in a straight line) to the northwest of the urban-type settlement Bezenchuk , administrative district center. The absolute height is 31 meters above sea level [3] .
- Climate
The climate is characterized as moderately continental arid, with hot, dry summers and cold, little snowy winters. The average annual rainfall is 363 mm. The average temperature in January is −13.4 ° С, in July - +21.4 ° С [4] .

History
It was founded in the second half of the 18th century on lands owned by the Orlov brothers [4] . In the “List of Populated Places of the Russian Empire” of the 1868 edition (according to 1859), the settlement is mentioned as the specific village of Lugovaya Aleksandrovka of the Samara district (1st camp) at Lake Lipovoy. There were 235 yards in the village and 306 people lived (859 men and 981 women). There was an Orthodox church [6] .
