The Palau bat fox, also called the Palau big bat fox, is an extinct fruit bat species belonging to the Pteropodidae family, the genus Pteropus. Species of this genus are widely known as flying foxes. He was medium-sized with a wingspan of about 60 cm, brown fur with silver hairs on his stomach, lived on the islands of Palau in Micronesia. He probably disappeared around 1874, and may have been exterminated by hunting. Currently, two opened specimens have been preserved, one of which is in the Museum of Natural History in London.
