Career
In 1991, Wilmer began playing for Olympia. The striker became the champion of Honduras in the 1992/1993 season. In 1996, he played for the club Chilean Examples "Deportes Concepcion", the club took 10th place in the championship. The following year, the footballer returned to Honduras and became the country's champion, scoring two goals in the final against Platense on June 29, 1997. In the 1997/1998 season, the striker became the top scorer of Apertura (19 goals) and Klausura (15 goals), but Olympia won nothing. The striker spent 4 matches in the 1998/99 season, and in 1999 moved to Sport Recife, for which he played in the Brazilian Serie A. In 1999, the striker returned to Olimpia, in which he participated in the finals of Aperture and Klausura, but lost both finals. In 1999, Wilmer helped the club win the Central American Club Championship by scoring 5 goals in the final group. In the 2000 Aperture, Olimpia won, and the striker scored 9 goals. Velazquez was in the symbolic team of the tournament. In 2007, Wilmer became the top scorer in the Central American Nations Cup , scoring 4 goals in the 5th place match against Nicaragua .
