Gameplay
Puyo Puyo BOX has many game modes available to the user. Here are the versions of Puyo Puyo and Puyo Puyo Tsu for Sega Mega Drive , as well as the Madō Monogatari -style quest mode, in which the player plays the role of Arles and fights against members of another roster in Puyo Puyo matches. It also has a scene cleaning mode in which the player has to deal with 10, 20 or 30 opponents, as well as two multiplayer modes that can be played either with other players or with AI substitutes.
For the quest mode itself, it allows the player to adjust the arsenal in such a way as to strengthen Arles using the double-edged sword effect. For example, a player could remove the Puyo Rings in order to strengthen his attack due to an inability to see the following pieces, and the amount of experience gained and the gold won was related to how the big chain was scored and how quickly the opponent was defeated.
The key point in the gameplay of Puyo Puyo BOX is that the player can choose a set of rules from Puyo Puyo , Puyo Puyo Tsu (with counteraction), Puyo Puyo SUN (with counteraction and SUN Puyos reset after each counter) and Puyo Puyo ~ n ( with opposition and a special caliber, with the selected number of special offers that the player can choose before the game starts). This can effectively lead to four-player battles, where each player plays with independent or mixed rules. The game also allows for team battles.
