“Bosporus Kingdom” - a gold commemorative coin with a face value of 100 hryvnias, issued by the National Bank of Ukraine , dedicated to the Bosporus Kingdom (VI century BC. - IV century A.D.) - one of the ancient states of the Northern Black Sea region . It arose as an association of Greek colonial cities on the shores of the Kerch Strait with its capital in Panticapaeum , regularly minted its coins. The coin was put into circulation on July 28, 2010 . It belongs to the series "Antique Monuments of Ukraine" [1] .

Obverse
On the obverse of the coin at the top is the small State Emblem of Ukraine , under which the coin minting year is “2010”, a stylized inscription in the semicircle “NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE”, at the bottom the denomination is “100 Hryvnia”; in the center is a fragment of the ruins of Panticapaeum against the background of the reconstruction of the city, to the right and left of which are the sphinxes .
Reverse
On the reverse side of the coin, a Greek sailing ship is depicted on a mirrored background - a stylized bireme , under which dolphins and decorative ribbons with a meander , symbolizing water, on both sides - a stylized building of the ancient city, on the relief background - a gold Pantikapey coin stater , under which the inscription - " The Kingdom of Bosporus. "
