Story
Alexander Petrovich Egorov returned to his native village from the front as an invalid. A year later he was widowed, and four young children remained in his care. For many years, Egorov lived alone, and then brought a new wife to his house - a young neighbor Ksenia. The woman was the bride of Alexander Petrovich’s younger brother, but she did not wait for the groom from the war. Ksenia became a mother to Yegorov’s children, and a few years later gave birth to his son Vasily - “scratching”. 38 years have passed. The guys grew up and left their native nest. Ksenia and Alexander Egorov decided to visit their children and hit the road ...
