Club career
Middlesbrough
He began to play football in the local teams of Newcastle City and Pontland United, and at the age of 13 he moved to the Middlesbrough Academy [1] . In the summer of 2016, he signed his first professional contract with the club.
As part of the Middlesbrough youth team (under 19 years old) took part in the 2015/16 UEFA Youth League , playing in 5 meetings, in which he scored 2 goals. Since 2015, he began to be attracted to the Middlesbrough reserve team (under 23 years old), for which he played 32 matches and scored 5 goals.
In the summer of 2019, he was transferred by the new head coach Jonathan Woodgate to the Middlesbrough main team, which included all the pre-season training camps and took part in friendly matches. On August 2 he made his debut in official games, having played all 90 minutes in the match of the 1st round of the Championship against Luton Town (3: 3) [2] .
Rentals in St. Mirren
On July 9, 2018, on a seasonal rental basis, Hayden joined the newcomer to the Scottish Premiership - St. Mirren Club [3] . He made his debut on July 13 in the Scottish League Cup match against Kilmarnock (3: 2), and on July 28 he scored the first goal on a professional level, distinguishing himself in a meeting against Dumbarton (6: 0) [4] .
Having played only 6 matches in the championship, in October Coulson's lease was terminated ahead of schedule and he returned to Middlesbrough [5] .
Cambridge United Rentals
On January 31, 2019 on loan until the end of the season he moved to the Cambridge United club of League Two [6] . He made his debut on February 16 in a home game against Tranmere Rovers (0: 0), and took part in 14 fights in total.
Team Career
In 2014-2016, he was involved in the youth teams of England of various ages (up to 16, up to 17 and up to 18 years).
