Content
History
In the "List of Populated Places of the Russian Empire", published in 1879, the settlement is mentioned as the village of Ryabovskaya of the Kargopol district (1st camp), with wells, located 10.5 versts from the county town of Kargopol . There were 11 yards in the village and 64 people lived (32 men and 32 women) [2] .
According to 1905, there were 17 yards and 105 people (59 men and 46 women). Administratively, the village was part of the Poluborsky society of Nifantov volost. There were 15 horses, 33 cows and 60 heads of other livestock [3] .
Geography
The village is located in the southwestern part of the Arkhangelsk region, in the southern zone of the middle taiga [4] , at a distance of about 9 kilometers (in a straight line) northwest of the city of Kargopol, the administrative center of the region.
