Content
History
In the "List of Populated Places of the Russian Empire", published in 1879, the settlement is mentioned as the village of Polupopovka ( Olchsky Pogost ) of the Kargopol Uyezd (1st camp), at Lake Svyatoy, located 12.5 versts from the county town of Kargopol . There were 6 yards in the village and 17 people lived (10 men and 7 women). There were three Orthodox churches and a parish school [2] .
According to 1905, there were 7 yards and 39 people lived (22 men and 17 women). Administratively, the village was part of the Olga society of the Kalitinsky volost. There were 4 horses, 5 cows and 15 heads of other livestock [3] .
Geography
The village is located in the southwestern part of the Arkhangelsk region, in the southern zone of the middle taiga [4] , southwest of Lake Saint , east of Lake Lacha , at a distance of about 11 kilometers (in a straight line) south of the city of Kargopol, the administrative center district.
