Men's fencing team competitions at the 2016 Summer Olympics were held on 14 August at the Carioca Arena 3 . The competition was attended by 9 teams.
The French team won the team championship at the Olympic Games for the ninth time in history and for the third consecutive time. Thanks to this victory, the French team of fencers overtook the Italian in the number of gold medals in this discipline. The world champions of 2015, Ukrainians lost at the stage of the 1/2 finals of the Italian national team, and lost to the Hungarian fencers in the duel for bronze medals.
