Biography
Omar Moussa was born on February 8, 1961.
He first made himself known at the international level in athletics in the 1986 season, when he performed at the Paris Marathon and the Montreal International Marathon, where he took fifth and third places, respectively.
In 1988, he joined the main team of the Djiboutian national team and, thanks to a series of successful performances, was awarded the right to defend the country's honor at the Seoul Summer Olympics . In the program of the marathon he showed at 2:25:25 and was located in the final protocol of the competition on line 49.
After the Seoul Olympics, Moussa remained in the Djibouti athletics team and continued to take part in major international competitions. So, in 1985, he marked his performance at the World Cup in Marathon in Milan , where he finished in the individual standings at 46 positions.
In 1990, he won the marathon in the French commune of Obigny-sur-Ner .
In 1991, he closed the top ten strongest Beijing marathon .
In 1994, he was sixth in the half marathon in Nice and the marathon in Carpi. In the second case, he set his personal record at the marathon distance, showing the time of 2:13:57.
In 1995, he took 34th place in the Turin marathon, 2nd place in the Lille marathon, 9th place in the Hautes-de-Seine marathon.
Being among the leaders of the Djiboutian national team, I successfully passed the selection for the Olympic Games in Atlanta - this time I did not finish in the program of the marathon and did not show any result.
In 1997, he became the eighteenth in the classification of the Lyon marathon.
In 1998, he noted his performances at the Belgrade and Leiden marathons, where he took 22 and 5 places, respectively.
The last time showed any significant results on the international scene in the 1999 season, when he entered the top ten at marathons in Leiden, Marseille and Côte d'Opal.
